Delivery of RC79101 smoke exhaust rotor for HL-79101 solid and liquid waste incinerator

Поставка Ротора Дымососа R C79101

Objective

Due to high corrosion wear of parts of rotor of the imported blower (Nakashima Mfg. Co., Ltd.) and fatigue wear of parts of the flow path (manufactured in 1988) made of ordinary carbon steel, the customer defined the task of developing a blower rotor made of corrosion-resistant materials and intended for operation at 3000 rpm.

In addition to the materials to be used, the project was characterized by the requirement to install the rotor while preserving the housing, bearings and electric motor of the existing blower. In addition to the rotor, the delivery was to include maintenance tools and accessories, an inlet bell (reducer) and a spare parts kit.

Solution

This was the first use of Super Duplex austenoferritic steel with a chromium content of 25% and a corrosion resistance index exceeding 40 (URANUS) to manufacture an impeller with a rated rotation speed of 3000 rpm.

In order to be able to use the existing electric motor, the mass of the blower's rotor was reduced by 25% without deteriorating its performance parameters by means of using advanced materials and structural analysis methods.

Result

The customer approved the proposed material and agreed the design documentation. The equipment was delivered on time.

The rotor was integrated into the existing blower and started up with its bearings achieving no more than 1 mm/s of vibration velocity. No wear is being observed after 5 years of operation, and the equipment works in a stable manner without any shut-downs.
